Koda.ai

Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-06-17

Koda is a beta educational technology service. Features may change, fail, or be withdrawn. Koda does not replace a teacher and should not be treated as the only source of academic advice.

Students must submit their own work and use Koda for legitimate learning. Users must not attack the service, impersonate another person, upload unlawful content, or use Koda for academic dishonesty.

Koda uses AI to process learning data, including answers, mistakes, and OCR-derived text. During beta testing, selected AI processing may use DeepSeek. Direct identifiers are stripped before LLM gateway calls wherever that gateway is used.

Students under 19 in British Columbia may need parent or guardian consent before full production use. Koda may suspend accounts for misuse, security risk, academic integrity violations, or legal compliance reasons.

Paid subscriptions, when offered, include a 10-day cooling-off period for eligible British Columbia consumers. Refund requests can be sent to support@koda.ai.

Koda uses AI-generated educational support. Koda does not claim copyright over purely AI-generated explanations, and user-contributed questions grant Koda a non-exclusive licence to use them for educational quality improvement.

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable Canadian federal law.
